Foothills Humane Society has been awarded a Student Intern Program grant from the Polk County Community Foundation! This grant provides the opportunity for up to two students to intern at Foothills Humane Society during the student’s summer vacation. The position is twenty house per week for eight weeks. The interns will be paid $10.00 per hour and will be supervised and work along with our staff in our animal shelter rescue efforts here at our facility. The student must be at least sixteen (16) years of age to apply and must go through an interview process with our facility. If chosen to participate, they will be employed by our facility part-time during the eight-week period during their summer vacation.
