Low cost spay & neuter is now available to Polk County, Landrum, and Campobello residents! This lifesaving program is vital in reducing the community’s unwanted pet population. Foothills Humane Society has a limited number of low cost spay & neuter vouchers to assist pet owners in these areas. Vouchers are free for Polk County residents on certain government assistance programs. A free rabies vaccine and microchip is included with each spay or neuter.
Dog spay: $70
Dog neuter: $60
Cat spay: $55
Cat neuter: $35
Although proof of financial assistance is not required to purchase these vouchers, they are only intended for those in need of financial assistance to get their pet spayed or neutered. Our resources are limited. Vouchers will be available until funding runs out.
Help fight overpopulation in shelters by spaying and neutering your pets. Approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. Shelters across the country are currently facing an overcrowding crisis, making spaying and neutering more important than ever. Spaying and neutering has many health benefits and decreases roaming behavior.
Receive your spay/neuter voucher at Foothills Humane Society Monday-Saturday from 11am-5pm. No appointment necessary. For more information, contact Foothills Humane Society at 828-863-4444 ext. 0 or stephanie@foothillshumanesociety.org.
