VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT! Cristina Casellato is the true definition of “Dog’s Best Friend”! She has given her heart and soul to scores of pups over her last five years of serving as a Foothills volunteer. Her goal is making sure each dog is given as many hugs and walks as possible, despite any kind of weather. Snow…rain…there are no barriers to keep Cristina from giving the pups the attention and cuddles they long for. And if a doggie needs a bit of beautifying, Cristina jumps right in to wash, clip and brush. Her dedication to enriching the lives of animals goes even further than dogs. She recently took in newborn bunnies and tirelessly nursed them until they were strong enough to thrive on their own. Her compassion and generosity have made not only the animals at Foothills happier, healthier, and more adoptable, but her uplifting attitude has brought out the best in all of us.
